Blended Fibre: Looking for something a little funky, or looking to combine the best qualities of several different types of fibre? You're in the right place! When we say 'Blends' we mean that colours or fibre types have been carded (or blended or mixed) together to create stunning combinations. Some of the blending we do by hand (like rolags and batts), others (like tops) are done at a UK mill.
All: Botany Lap Waste!
*Note! Because this is a zero-waste product, it's super limited edition and can not be repeated*
About this colour way: From what I can guess, here’s the types of fibres that are in this batt: Merino, Linen, and other natural wools including locks. A base of beautiful deep teal sets up the shocks of lilac and turquoise. There’s a deep raven linen and just the littlest touch of bright orange linen. Fun to work with deep saturated colours like this!
Spinning tip: Spinning tip: All this gorgeous fibre comes from a British mill and it’s a mixture of dyed tops, dyed fleeces, natural tops and end of runs on the blending machines. I love using this because I love taking something that might be unwanted or unused, and giving it a new life and some love. And anything we can do to reduce waste is a-okay with me!
